Director of Resident Care

The Director of Resident Care is responsible for implementing state and federal policies and procedures; staffing; scheduling of assisted living staff; community relations and guest relations. The Director aims to promote the health and well-being of each resident by providing well-trained and educated staff that provide the appropriate care for each resident. As the Supervisor in Charge (S.I.C.), is also responsible for attending to all residents as necessary, overseeing the functions of the unit and assisting the Administrator when necessary.

  1. High school diploma and continued education. Prefer nursing or L.T.C. Training.
  2. Maintain CNA, CPR, and First Aid Certification.
  3. Minimum requirement: Certification as CNA


Supervisory experience preferred.


Caregivers 8 hour shifts:

2nd shift-2:45PM until 11:15PM (working every other weekend)

Reports to: Shift Supervisor

Summary: The Personal Care Aid is responsible for helping an assigned number of residents with their activities of daily living and assisting the Director of Resident Services with supplies, preparation, and appropriate charting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assistance in bathing, grooming and hygiene, dressing, personal laundry, reminders for meals and appointments.
  • Assistance with self-administration of medications, under the direction of the Director of Resident Services or Executive Director.
  • Provide basic first aid.
  • Provide basic fingernail and toenail care.
  • Responsible for charting or documenting changes in services or health.
  • Responsible for notifying director of Resident Services or Executive Director when a resident has change in health status.
  • Assist with the serving of meals and helping residents during mealtimes (i.e., cutting food, preparing beverages, etc.).
  • Be familiar with all emergency procedures and equipment.
  • Assist with resident activity functions when required.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Administrator or Director of Resident Services.
